Before using Beam, invoicing was a tedious, complicated, and frustrating process. It required a lot of manual effort, especially when it came to keeping track of what needed to be invoiced for which project and when, along with any additional costs incurred.

The budget feature was another key factor—it gives us a clear view of what’s been budgeted versus what’s been spent, which has been incredibly helpful for financial planning. Personally, I really appreciate how easy it is to track client payments. With the payment history feature, I can quickly see if an invoice has been sent, viewed, or paid.
I was excited to discover that Beam supports construction-specific billing methods like milestone billing, which I used to manage manually with QuickBooks and spreadsheets. Now, I can create project milestones and invoice directly from them without leaving the platform. Change orders are seamlessly integrated, automatically updating the relevant budget items and invoices once they’re approved without me lifting a finger.
